The perfect location of Onda Verde is what the Amalfi Coast is all about for the traveller. It is situated on a cliff-face and sits above the beautiful clear waters of the Mediterranean. The large room was beautifully decorated and the views from the balcony were stunning. It was just lovely. It had a huge shower and even the view from the bathroom window was perfect! The restaurant food was some of the nicest we've had in Europe and the excellent wait staff made the dining experience even better. Parking on site was very handy and easy to access. Breakfast on the terrace was very nice. We can recommend this hotel.
Very Friendly and helpful staff . great breakfast. The view from the rooms are stunning and in a sense quite unique. Strongly recommend to my friends.
Everything! But we neglected to investigate walking/hiking trails & felt limited by the highway & traffic, without enough working off of the delicious food. The sound of the sea lulled us to sleep each night (until the wind stopped!), the staff were always charming & helpful, and we had a lovely 4 days & nights celebrating the 50th year of our marriage.
Fantastic, quiet location between Positano and Amalfi. Excellent staff and very helpful. Rooms have views of the sea and small balcony just outside the room. We took the vita buses to other towns and although it can be somewhat of a pain (the waiting and crowded buses), it was good not to have to worry about renting a car and dealing with scooters, buses, traffic along small narrow roads. Would love to return to this quiet family hotel and recommend it to all who are not looking for the busy city!
Nice view, clean rooms
Unfriendly, unhelpful staff, cold atmosphere
Everything - its was a lovely hotel to stay in.
There was nothing to dislike - the staff were friendly but unobtrusive, the location was fabulous and there was a good bus and water taxi service to neighbouring towns.
We visited in august and the price was very very high and totally not worth the money. We hadcome from another country and spent less money on a top 5* hotel so we definitely felt dissapointed. We had to drag information from reception staff about places to visit etc.. But we did find once we got them going they were slightly helpful. The view from our 'superior room was gorgeous! But you are literally paying for the view only. The bed is two singles and the grumpy receptionist informed me that all rooms are like this. The women on reception however are more than willing to help but unfortunately we kept getting the less forth coming staff. The breakfast was really nice and the chef is really nice and eager for you to taste his daily special delights:) Overall we were disappointed with our honeymoon here at Onda verde:( but I have to say other people in the hotel seemed happy so may our expections were just too high. Amalfi is a pain to get around which is the nature of this area. It's also incredibly expensive and it most locals ate grumpy and tired of our money it would seem.
Room size Beds No tea and coffee in room Lack of information Location was bit too quiet and had to take a bus everywhere Very small pebble beach grabbed with beds Grumpy staff ( not all staff)
